To Whom It May Concern,

The Lake County Astronomical Society (LCAS) formally recognizes the assistance of Dave Cecchini of United Construction Corporation, Racine, Wisconsin, for his support of LCAS in the advancement of the LakeSky Observatory Project. The LakeSky Observatory Project has the objective of building a permanent observatory to locate the LakeSky Telescope. This telescope, weighing over 2,000 pounds, with an aperture of 20 inches, will capture over 5,100 times more light than the human eye. This telescope when located at permanent observatory site will allow LCAS to extend its public outreach in astronomy to new levels.

In support of the LCAS design committee, Dave volunteered to create multiple architectural drawings of the LakeSky Observatory. These drawings included multiple views and assessments of various sized domes. These drawings were pivotal in communicating the design concepts to other club members, the Kenosha County Board, and to the general public. Utilizing his drawings, LCAS has been able to share the details of the project as well as identify areas of future design considerations for the observatory.

The Lake County Astronomical Society (LCAS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves its members and the public in northeastern Illinois. LCAS was founded in 1982 with a charter that includes the commitment to "...promote the science of astronomy...". The LakeSky Star award is a special honor for individuals or organizations who make a distinctive contribution to the promotion of astronomy.

LCAS thanks Dave Cecchini of United Construction Corporation with a LakeSky Star for his assistance in helping LCAS to advance our pursuit of a permanent observatory to house the LakeSky telescope.

On behalf of LCAS,
Dave Wagner
